PURPOSE AND CONTENT

The overall educational objectives for the 52nd Annual Meeting of the New England Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, Inc., are

  • to present the most current scientific research in the field of plastic surgery
  • to identify the research methods and results that are most likely to improve the practice of plastic surgery
  • to encourage open discussion and critique the presented information, and to encourage and support student, resident, and fellow participation in their research and during the Annual Meeting.

The objectives will be achieved by allowing free papers to be presented to the open forum, by allowing time for free audience discussion following each presentation, and designating a segment of the Scientific Program for the best paper given by a resident and for the best paper given by an Active Member of the Society, for which an award will be given for each winning paper.
